We were thrilled to be given the opportunity to host author Darren Simpson at a literary event in school to celebrate the Nottinghamshire Brilliant Book Award 2023. Darren’s book Furthermoor is shortlisted for this year’s award.
On the 12th and 13th October we held mock interviews for our Year 11 students. Over the two days our students created a C.V before planning and preparing for an interview with a skilled interviewer. Our students were professional, smart and well-prepared and were a complete credit both to themselves and the Academy.
Our Sixth Form Evening takes place on Thursday 6th October 2022. The evening will run from 6pm to 7:30pm with two presentations from the Principal and the Head of Sixth Form.
Our year 6 open evening takes place on Thursday 29th September, from 6 pm until 7.30 pm. There is no need to book in advance for this event.
It has been fantastic to see the Year 11 cohort at Arnold Hill Spencer Academy collect their GCSE results this morning, congratulations to all students.
Congratulations to all Arnold Hill Spencer Academy students who are collecting results today. Our sixth form grades are very positive and are evidence of so much positive work over time from both students and teaching staff.
The Academy has been developing a range of materials to support students who are going onto Arnold Hill 6th Form. During the month of June, the Academy will be publishing the Year 11 Bridging Projects.
Congratulations to Team Jester on finishing sixth in the closely contested regional final of the Cyberfirst Girls Competition in February. The final, which was held in Leicester, was attended by the teams who achieved the highest scores in the qualifying round last December.
With hard work, dedication and the drive to succeed, Lewis has come a long way in a short space of time and is so proud to be representing Team GB and Arnold Hill Spencer Academy as he embarks on his latest ball hockey adventure!
Heroes were celebrated in Gedling Borough as the winners of this year’s Pride of Gedling Awards were presented with their prizes earlier this month.
