Cyberfirst Girls

Congratulations to Eva, Jessica, Sophie and Talia, aka Team Jester, on finishing sixth in the closely contested regional final of the Cyberfirst Girls Competition in February. The final, which was held in Leicester, was attended by the teams who achieved the highest scores in the qualifying round last December.

More than 7,000 girls, aged 12 to 13, entered this year’s new-look contest, with more than 130 teams taking part in the final round of this year’s CyberFirst Girls Competition, run by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) – a part of GCHQ.

The competition, which aims to inspire more girls to consider pursuing careers in cyber security, saw pupils tackle challenges covering topics from networking and AI to cryptography and logic.

The girls really enjoyed the whole experience and were an absolute credit to themselves and the school. We are all extremely proud of their achievements.
